Murat Torlak obtained the MS and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from The College of Texas at Austin, in 1995 and 1999, respectively. Considering that August 1999, he has been with the Office of Electrical and Laptop or computer Engineering, The College of Texas at Dallas, wherever he has been promoted to the rank of a Total Professor. He is on depart from UT Dallas to provide as a Rotating Program Director at the US National Science Foundation (NSF) considering that mid 2020. His recent research passions include experimental verification of wi-fi networking techniques, cognitive radios, millimeter-wave automotive radars, millimeter- wave imaging units, and interference mitigation in radio telescopes. He has served as an Affiliate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Wi-fi Communications, from 2008 to 2013. He was a Guest co-Editor of IEEE JSTSP Particular Difficulty on The latest Developments in Automotive Radar Signal Processing, 2021. He has also served in numerous IEEE committees and assisted to organize IEEE conferences.
